Description:

This Building is two-story with a full basement and was constructed as a laboratory. It is a steel framed building with masonry and brick exterior walls. A new roof was installed in 1986 and is built-up composition with gutters, downspouts and roof drains. The Building was originally designed to add an additional third floor.

The interior flooring finishes are vinyl tile or sealed concrete. The walls are painted or exposed masonry. The ceilings are acoustical ceiling tiles. The stairways are finished with sheet vinyl, paint or are exposed concrete.

The first floor data center is powered by both a UPS battery system and an external diesel generator.

Building C basement contains storage and maintenance areas.
Elevators: One freight elevator with a 4,000 lb. capacity.
One passenger elevator with a 2,500 lb. capacity.
Both elevators are traction-type units.

Systems:
Heating

Steam to hot water converters are located in the mechanical room as well as supplemental baseboard perimeter heat. The first floor contains a data center and server room with dedicated heating and cooling units.

Air Conditioning

The Building’s exhaust fans and make-up air units have been removed. The main air handler is located in the basement.
