Description:

This Building is two-story with a basement and was constructed as a laboratory. It is a steel framed building with masonry and brick exterior walls. A new roof was installed in 2003 and is EPDM with gutters, downspouts and roof drains.

The interior flooring finishes are acid brick or vinyl tile. The walls are painted. The ceilings are acoustical ceiling tiles or open ceilings. The stairways are finished with sheet vinyl, paint or are exposed concrete.

The basement houses the boiler room with one high-pressure and two low-pressure boilers, and a majority of the maintenance shops.

There are two shipping/receiving docks, one in the rear of the Building (south) for mail and package services, and one in the front (north) for waste management and general use.
Elevators: One, traction-type freight elevator with a 6,000 lb. capacity.

Steam to hot water converters are located in the mechanical room.

Air Conditioning

The Building is air conditioned by three chilled water units. The main air handler is located in the basement.
